If you’ve got a case of dry rot, you’ll notice the following early signs:

• Cube-like cracking (this will identify the species to be brown rot)
• Red rust spores on surface
• A mushroom like odour
• Grey-white strands
• White and fluffy-looking Mycelium may appear
• Yellowish brown fleshy bracket with a white margin
