Woodworm beetles emerge during what is known as the ‘woodworm emergence season’ which is usually between April and September.
Woodworm season usually begins around April, although this is very much dependent on the temperature. Typically when the warmer weather starts so does woodworm season. At the beginning of woodworm season they begin to eat their way through the final layer of timber where they’ve been hiding during the colder winter months. When the woodworm finally emerges it does so as a beetle. When the woodworm (now a beetle) leaves the wood it will leave a few distinct indicators of a woodworm infestation, allowing our experts to identify the problem and choose the best woodworm treatment.
